What do you get when you combine traditional Italian Cuisine and an Influencer Tasting Event? An insanely over the top excited Kimberly! You guys, do I have an experience to rave about today! Warning, if you do not want to see some of the yummiest food pictures eveeeerrrr do not keep reading!
It is no secret that I love food. By now you all know that I have planned full trips around the globe just based on places that I want to go to eat. Little over the top? Probably but the way I see it, life is too short to not eat your way around the world. Anyway, one of my absolute favorite cooking styles is Italian. I am a huge fan of all things past, pizza, and especially mozzarella. So you can only imagine my excitement when I got the news that a new, authentic Italian restaurant was opening up in Sarasota! And even more excited that they were hosting a tasting event for some local bloggers to celebrate the launch!
One sip of this fun drink and I felt like I was back in Florence for the first time. The smell of pizza filled the air as the food started coming out and boy let me tell you, it was everything that I had hoped for and so much more. Course after course, the food seemed to just outdo itself. Every bite of parmesan and every taste of tomato sauce was like Italy had come to Sarasota for the night. Everything from the Margarita Pizza, to the Penne with Vodka Sauce, to the final bite of Tiramisu was an absolute delight!
Now I know you hear me raving about food all the time but I am serious when I say that Bavaros is a spot you really don't want to miss. Maybe it is the fact that they use a yeast they brought over straight from Italy or maybe it is the real family recipes they use. Whatever the secret is, Bavaros was truly an amazing foodie experience!
If you are in Sarasota, make sure to check out the grand opening this Friday, May 17th!
We arrived at Bavaro's eager to taste our way through the menu and ready to hear all about the traditional background of the restaurant. After being shown around the newly renovated space, and of course admiring the amazing pizza oven, we took our seats and got ready for the dinner to come with a round of drinks. What better way to kick off a night of Italian food than with an Aperol Spritz am I right?
